A car detailing service will clean your vehicle of dirt and road grime, both inside and out and in detail using special tools. The challenge when shopping for a detailing service is finding one that will cover all of the required aspects of detailing.

Interior Detailing

A professional auto detailing technicians will treat all the cloth by vacuuming, shampooing, scrubbing, extracting, and any other professional means necessary to remove stains and grime – including water-base dyeing the carpet. Interior auto detailing services include all of the dash, center console, door panels, headliner, windows, compartments and vents. A professional interior detailing will return your car to the manufacturer look and feel when it was new. If the leather is torn, the plastic is scratched, or the steering wheel is worn, professional interior repairs can rejuvenate those areas too.

Interior detailing should at minimum include a cleaning of all carpeting and seating surfaces. This is done either by shampooing or by using a steam cleaner. All plastic and vinyl surfaces should be properly cleaned and protected, and any leather should be conditioned and cleaned. Many thorough services will also include the trunk area in the detailing package.

Many detailing services may don’t include the engine in their standard packages, but it is a very important aspect of automotive detailing. The engine bay should be lightly misted with water, cleaned with a suitable degreaser, and rinsed clean. Once dried, all silicone, plastic and rubber components should be properly coated to protect from cracking.
